Acceptable Use Policy
Purpose
The HopiHost Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is designed to protect our services, our customers, and the internet community from irresponsible or illegal activities. Use of HopiHost services signifies agreement to this policy.
Prohibited Content
Users may not use our servers to host, store, or transmit:
- Illegal Material: Including but not limited to copyrighted works, CSAM, or content that violates local, state, or federal laws.
- Harmful Content: Software containing viruses, Trojan horses, worms, or any other malicious code.
- Infringement: Content that infringes on patents, trademarks, or trade secrets.
System and Network Security
Violations of system or network security are prohibited and may result in criminal liability. This includes:
- Unauthorized access to data or systems (cracking/hacking).
- Interfering with service to any user, host, or network (DDoS attacks).
- Forging of any TCP-IP packet header or any part of the header information.
Resource Usage (Fair Use)
Shared hosting accounts are intended for web files only. Use of an account as an online storage space, backup repository, or for high-load scripts that degrade server performance for others is strictly prohibited.
